      Yes & No

      This is the 3rd S&B intake I’ve installed on the 3.0 Duramax. The first two on my half ton Sierra’s and this last one on my wife’s 21 Yukon. Install is straight forward without issues. The S&B stuff is top quality. The issue I had with the setup on the Yukon was the RPM surge at 1,800-2,200 RPM. Lugging up a hill the vehicle surged and bogged. It felt like it was getting too much air so I enclosed the top inlet that comes out at the top of the intake and near the fender. The bottom plug below is not open and the front air inlet hooked up. Now the only inlet is the front scoop and the vehicle runs perfect with no surging. No more whistle/sucking sound from the intake, but it’s my wife’s ride so she is happier without it.

      S&B COLD AIR INTAKE

      IT TOOK ME ABOUT 4 HOURS NOT BECAUSE IT WAS DIFFICULT IT BECAUSE I INJURED MY HIP COUPLE DAYS BEFORE. ANYWAY, IT SOUND GREAT I CAN FEEL THE POWER AT ACCELERATION PLUS IT LOOKS GREAT INSIDE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

      Nice Product

      Install was straight forward and easy. I did have to modify the passenger side hose to valve cover do to hose having a kink in it when connected to the tube. The coolant line presses directly against the MAF sensor so I hope this is not an issue long term. Maybe move that inlet just a little for better clearance but overall very nice product.

      Great upgrade… tight fit, loose lid.

      All went well. A bit tricky with how snug some parts were, but found installation fairly simple. Only bad part was the compression fit clear lid. It did not fit well and had openings on the corners. I think the molded plastic was warped, but basically it is too small. Power feels nice and is still quiet.
