2015-2020 Chevy Tahoe Accessories, Parts & Mods
In its fourth iteration of production, Chevrolet continued to push the 2015-2020 Tahoe SUV towards a more upscale market, with the three trim models (LS, LT and LTZ) featuring more base options than before. A new front fascia and rear end help bring a more sculpted look to the Tahoe, with the side profile now featuring inlaid doors to help improve aerodynamics. To help shave some weight of the SUV, the fourth generation Tahoe now uses some aluminum body pieces, the hood and liftgate towards the beginning of production with more aluminum being integrated throughout as it approached 2020, the last year of production. Additional sound deadening throughout the vehicle, alongside the new door design, help to reduce the noise inside the cabin. Further changes to the interior included upgraded power seats, a slew of new driver assistance technology and smartphone media integration. A new generation of powertrain options is also introduced to the 2015-2020 Tahoe lineup. Sticking with a V8 architecture (well suited to hauling the family or towing smaller loads), a 5.3L EcoTec3 serves as the base engine with a larger 6.2L available as an option and with the higher LTZ trim packages. The 5.3L is rated at 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and the 6.2L at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed 6L80 automatic transmission is standard with the 5.3L and an 8-speed 8L90 for the 6.2L. The highly popular Z71 off-road package continues to be available only for LT models and adds 4WD, a front skid plate, running boards and 18" off-road tires. For those that are after the height of luxury and ride comfort, Chevrolet added their magnetic ride control suspension as an option to LTZ models. Regardless of engine and trim level, the fourth generation 2015-2020 Tahoe has plenty of ways to make it even better thanks to a bustling aftermarket. From off-road suspension upgrades to beautiful chrome trim accents, it is easy to personify a 2015-2020 Tahoe and make it your own.
