Description
Closed Box Cold Air Intake. Get the most out of your Sierra with this Volant Closed Box Cold Air Intake with MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter. Designed to deliver more to your system than your stock system, it utilizes a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube. This innovation provides much needed airflow more efficiently than the factory rubber tubing and resonator box that comes with your rig. Volant's Cold Air Intake box is also larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.
High Performance Filter. Made for the power hungry driver who want to push their system to the limit, this Intake System features the MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter. It is made with 8 layers of the highest quality textiles, pleated between a top and bottom aluminum screen. This allows the highest air flow rate possible and a very long filter life, as well as service intervals of up to 40,000 miles depending on driving conditions.
Installation. This product is easy to install and should take about 1 hour.

This was a nice little upgrade for the money. Adds a lot of growl to the sound of the engine making it breath much better. Haven’t noticed much difference in fuel efficiency but I’d say worth the money from looks and sound alone

'06 SCSB Silverado CAI Blues
Looks? Great! Performance gains? Maybe a little. Mounting? Only one-hole lines up. You get to drill the rest. Quality? Okay. It looks better than it fits. The plastic seams on the tube, keep it from sealing great at the TB. Conclusion? Too expensive for the work required to make it fit good.
