Restore proper performance to your Sierra's differential with our upgraded Sierra differential gears. The GMC Sierra is equipped with differentials designed to split up the power transferred by your drive shaft in order to help each of your truck's wheels turn at a different rate. The differential is essential for helping you maintain proper traction, giving you real usable torque at your wheels and creating smooth turning power to help you take corners at the right rates. Unfortunately, your Sierra's differential relies on a whole bunch of gears to do all of these different activities. Under normal operating conditions the gears hold up incredibly well. There are instances where the gears can be damaged though, this is very common while off-roading. If you'll be using your pickup truck for off-roading, it's common for the stock differential cover to bend and brake exposing the interior of the differential to dirt, rocks and debris. All that grit tears gears apart. If something like this happens you have no choice but to invest in our Sierra ring gears and all our other Sierra differential gears. We have replacement parts for the OEM differential to help it do its job more reliably. Our replacement gears are made from tougher hardened steel so they will be more resistant to failure, but they can still be damage during regular use as well. That's why we recommend investing in new gears and a tough differential cover as well. If you hear grinding in the differential, replace your gears as soon as possible, but also invest in a cover and some new differential fluid to keep everything running smoothly and safely over time. Making these changes to your Sierra will give you a more reliable vehicle and will help prepare it for off-roading more consistently. If you want to keep pumping out power to each of those truck axles and driving consistently, make sure your differentials are in good shape by replacing worn components as needed and you'll performance that you can depend on.
