It has a fully enclosed airbox that protects the filter from dirt and keeps engine heat out. A snap-in lid with silicone edge trim seals the airbox and protects it from power-robbing engine heat. Completing this cold air intake assembly is a mass airflow sensor with an extension harness. Premium silicone makes up most of the components (air filter, coupler, lid seal, and plug seal) and can endure temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
