it looks much better, but honestly there is no Extended Range about this antenna. it makes absolutely zero difference in reception quality.

Not as Good as Advertized
I purchased this antenna to replace the stock so I could park my truck in my garage (without hitting the antenna on my garage doors). Installation was a breeze. The quality and appearance of the antenna are both great. My gripe is that I live in a hills of New England and the antenna does not have as good reception as the stock antenna. With no obstructions (i.e. hills), the antenna reach is as good. Moderate hills, reception is poor.

This is my 3rd antenna that I have purchased for my truck and this one is by far the best. I have better reception than I had with all my previous antennas. Definitely reccomend this.

Nice antenna upgrade
Like the look of the shorter antenna that does not hit the garage door when I pull into the garage. As far as I can tell the shorter antenna performs as well or better than the original equipment although I do live in a location with strong radio signals.
