Description
You've been avoiding the maintenance schedule of your 6.0L Powerstroke, and it is beginning to catch up to you. A puddle is left behind in every parking lot you visit, and the sweet aroma of burning engine coolant follows your truck down the road. So it's time to address the cooling system of your Powerstroke, and what better way than with the Mishimoto essentials bundle. The Mishimoto 6.0L Powerstroke Essentials Bundles includes high-quality upgraded coolant components to replace items we've found to be the most failure-prone. For the 6.0L, we've bundled together our aluminum radiator, silicone radiator hose kit, and low-temperature thermostat w/housingAs the stand-out component, our aluminum radiator features a full aluminum construction with durable TIG-welded end tanks. This radiator is a two-row unit with a 1.88-in thick brazed aluminum core. The increased size of our core compared to the stock unit provides greater fluid capacity and superior heat dissipation. To supplement this radiator upgrade, we've included our incredibly robust silicone radiator hose kit for the 6.0L. Mishimoto silicone hoses are constructed from high-grade 4-ply silicone with heat-resistant embedded fibers for superior heat and pressure tolerance. Finally, rounding out our essentials bundle is the Mishimoto low-temperature thermostat. The Mishimoto thermostat has a lower activation temperature (185F) compared to the factory thermostat (192F). The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, reducing the risk of overheating in hot environments. Time to re-habilitate your 6.0L Powerstroke cooling system with the Mishimoto Essentials Bundle. As with all our Powerstroke products, this bundle includes the signature Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

good radiator problems with hose and thermostat
The radiator is a work of art and fit well. The thermostat is a the "race" thermostat and a 160deg thermostats vs the OEM that is 180. after install the engine temp is all over the map from going up to almost the H on the temp gauge to down to the C and this was driving in 105 deg. going to chuck that thermostat and put a OEM one in. The o-ring in the main hose assy that slips onto the radiator was the wrong size. No way could i get to go on. It was too small and was kind or rattling around in the fitting. Took the o-ring out of the old hose and it fit perfectly

Great product
Bought this for my 2011 Ram 1500. In the mountains a lot and this cooler drastically makes a difference in keeping your transmission cool. I spent the extra money for a performance cooler and it delivered.

The fix
These trucks get pretty hot. One of the issues I've been struggling with especially since I got the tuner was how hot the truck got. I would get a cel every other day whenever I laid on that peddle. This bad boy fixed most of it. Just make sure all your fittings work before you start removing stuff, especially with AN fittings (get the proper tools/equipment).

Transmission cooler
This is a quality unit. I am very pleased with the kit. It keeps the trans temperature down. It was overall pretty simple to install and the kit came with pretty much everything it needed to install. The only complaint I would have is 1 of the cooler hoses could have been a pre bent hose to prevent kincking other than that better instructions provided would've been nice as well. The company says it takes about 2 hours and I had it done in about 1 1/2 hours taking my time

I was a little worried about spending this much for a radiator but could not be happier with it from the packaging and shipping to install they take pride in their work and it shows still waiting to start the truck up but is installed and holding fluids
