2017-2022 F-350 pickup trucks are the kings of the 1-ton class. Rocking an all-new fully-boxed high strength steel frame and an entirely aluminum cab and cargo box, Ford managed to make the fourth-generation F-350 pickup not only stronger, but lighter too. Beefed up axles, driveshaft, and brakes improve towing and hauling capacities to 37,000 lbs and 7,850 lbs, respectively. The 6.2L gas V8 and 6.7L turbodiesel V8 return for this generation. New for 2020 models, however, is the introduction of another gas engine - the 7.3L "Godzilla" V8. This massive gas motor reverts back to a pushrod design and is rated at 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, with the majority of the torque produced low in the RPM band. Another welcome addition to the lineup is a 10-speed Torqshift automatic transmission, co-developed with rival GM.
