This free-flowing K&N Series 57 FIPK Cold Air Intake allows more fresh cooler air to enter the engine, giving a better burn and, therefore, better mileage and more torque and power. K&N Dyno testing before and after the addition of this kit resulted in more than 11 additional horsepower and more than 13 additional foot-pounds of torque at the rear wheels when tested on a 2007-2008 6.0L Sierra 2500 HD.
Clean Air is Vital. K&N’s high-flow large diameter conical oiled-cotton air filter is the gateway for a successful cold air intake system. When the engine draws colder air from outside your truck’s engine compartment, it may include dirt and moisture. For over 60 years, K&N has improved its lifetime washable filters that excel in protecting your engine and preventing costly damage.
Cool Air Transport System. This K&N Series 57 FIPK Cold Air Intake kit replaces the restrictive OEM intake with a Roto-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tube to increase airflow volume to your engine and uses a custom heat shield to protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay. In addition, this kit contains everything needed to retain the OEM mass airflow sensor and crankcase ventilation port.
Warranty. An increase in power is guaranteed, and the kit also comes with a 10-Year, Million-Mile warranty from K&N. Cleaning the filter is necessary every 100,000 miles under normal driving conditions.
Application. This K&N Series 57 Cold Air Intake kit fits all 2007-2008 6.0L Sierra 2500 HD models. This kit may not fit lifted trucks.

Best thing I've bought for my truck yet
First thing was the installation. I installed this myself which, while not too complicated, came with a print out of instructions that laid out step by step what to do in great detail. Secondly, this sounds amazing on the truck. Namely in the lower range of RPM but overall. Finally, the improved gas mileage was very noticeable. I believe this should be anyone's first improvement in their journey.

Love K&N I put them on all my cars and trucks. Just bought the 77 for my work truck. The duramax lacks a little pep and this helps, also makes the turbo a little louder, before I could barely hear it.

Great System
I took me a long time to install the K&N System because I had a hard time removing the stock system. I took 5 hours to do the replacement. I still have a message on my dash about my air filter system that I can't seem to reset.

Not sure what i was expecting
But I bought it at my local advanced auto cause I didn't want to wait..took maybe an hour to hook up which I'm still not sure if it's seated right(not sure where that stupid rubber grommet sits)but whatever..this along with my awe exhaust makes it sound wicked! I'm in love..pretty sure I went through half a tank of gas in half hour from just hitting the throttle to listen to it lol

Works well but dry filters are better
Works well and I haven’t had any issues but it’s an oiled filter. I ordered a dry one from another brand. Makes cleaning much easier and cheaper. Those oil kits are like $20 and the process is just more tedious than necessary.

Excellent quality! Affordably purchased through open box. All components were in box. Makes the truck sound better and run better. I got an addition 1mpg (depending on driving but overall is 1mpg +\-)
