      Description

Corrects Speedometer / Odometer. If you have installed tires that are larger or smaller than original equipment tires, or if you have installed a ring and pinion gear set with a different rear gear ratio, Hypertech’s Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator allows you to correct your speedometer and odometer readings. The vehicle’s computer calculates your speed based on the diameter of the stock tires. If you’ve installed taller or shorter tires, or changed the rear gear ratio, the vehicle’s computer doesn’t know how fast your vehicle is actually going. As a result, the speedometer/odometer readings will not be accurate.

Diagnostics Tool. The Hypertech Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator can also be used as a diagnostic code reader. Save yourself time and money by reading and clearing your own Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) rather than paying a dealer to do the same. It's as easy as a few simple steps.

Easy to Load; Easy to Restore. When you make changes to your vehicle, the Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return to the original factory settings, just plug the Calibrator back in, select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done. This is ideal for visiting dealerships for warranty work. Once you have the vehicle back from the dealership, reinstall the Spectrum Speedometer calibration as before. Please note that the Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator can only be used on one (1) vehicle at a time.

Internet Updateable. The Hypertech Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator comes with a USB cable and a CD containing software to enable quick updates over the internet. If your vehicle has a new calibration not available when your Hypertech Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator was manufactured, it is possible that you will see a “Cal not found” message on the screen. If this occurs, you can simply update your Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator with the correct new calibration via the internet. Simply connect the Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator (using the provided USB cord) to your computer and go to www.hypertech.com. Then click on the Support button to get update downloads.

Application. This Hypertech Spectrum Speedometer Calibrator; California Edition is designed to fit 2007-2017 GMC Sierra 2500 HD models.
