As far as shocks go, you can’t do better than the Bilstein B8 5100 Series Front Shock for 4-Inch Lift. This front shock’s monotube gas-charged build and advanced velocity-sensitive digressive valving technology work to provide a lightning-fast damping response tailored to the terrain you’re on. This in turn gives you superior handling control and a firm ride quality that’s as close to the factory as you can get on a 4-inch lifted truck. These factors make this shock ideal for the everyday driver Super Duty that also spends time on the trails.
Rigid Build Quality. This front damper is machined to exact specifications from premium steel. This gives you a 46mm wide shock body that offers efficient heat dissipation for consistent performance. The piston rod for its part measures 14mm thick and is similarly machined from chrome-hardened steel, making it more than capable of handling the stresses of regular off-road adventures. Meanwhile, its bushings are made from high-grade neoprene rubber to give you excellent vibration damping and a smooth ride. Finally, this assembly is finished in zinc plating and a clear topcoat, providing maximum corrosion protection.
Hassle-Free Install Procedure. This front shock uses your Super Duty’s factory front shock location as its mounting point. No additional drilling or other modifications are necessary for most applications. What’s more, installation is completed using just standard hand tools.
