Description
Side steps for hard-working trucks. The AMP Research Bedstep2 mounts just behind the cab, forward of the rear wheel, providing a faster, easier and safer route to access toolboxes, equipment and cargo in the bed. Easily installed, this frame-mounted, retractable truck step can be mounted on either side of the truck box, and it flips down or retracts with just the nudge of your foot.

Great side step, but wish it was a bit higher
Very sturdy step, easy to install and works well. My only small gripe is that when it is swiveled out for us, it drops too far which makes it marginally useful. Admittedly, I am short (which is why I wanted it) and I could use the step to be higher to assist in reaching into the bed to the 5th wheel hitch, but even so it drops lower than I would have expected so even for taller folks Im not sure if it has as much value as it could.

Steps work great and I highly recommend them. The parts inventory were short two nuts on each side and the brace would not work with my new 2024 F150, so I left it off. Cannot get anyone to answer the phone at AMP Research.

That price for 1 side.
Great product! Very sturdy and useful! But I have to say. I thought for $350.00 I’d be getting both sides (x2) so I can get into my toolbox either side. When only one showed up I (stupid of me) decided to look further into the details. Seriously, 350 for a step that doesn’t even have a motor?. Crazy. But good product.

Great Asset
Having a lifted truck makes it a bit more difficult to access items in my toolbox. With the bed step, I'm able to grab what I need without having to crawl into the bed. Easy install minus the instructions telling me to add extra hardware when in fact it wasn't needed. Very sturdy

Fantastic Product
Very pleased with this item. Glad I have a 22 F250 and not the “Chevy Clone” 23 with the body instep. Works really well, engineered well and very study. Only issue was that the instruction step for the “step leveling” was after I torqued it down to specs. Easy enough to loosen and re-Torque. Works so well I bought the step for the end of the truck

Worked on 2022 f150
Worked out great on my 2022 f150 with 6 1/2’ bed. Don’t use the spacer as it’s not needed. Install was easy and I installed on both sides of truck by myself. You just got to be smarter than the product.
