Great Look, Cant get full effect
These Alpha Rex tail lights are so great looking, but could be better. The lights are bright when turned on, and you can tell the difference between the brake light and park. I got these because I also wanted to have the turn signal color amber, it is so much more noticeable that way, in my opinion. HOWEVER, the full sequential effect is almost non-existent because the blinking of the signals happens fast, and it is not hyperflashing, its the same with or without these lights installed. But the sequential 'swipe' effect happens so fast, you cant tell its happening really, AND it takes a good blink cycle for it to turn amber from red, so when you use the lane change quick 3 blink option, by the time the lights turn amber, its already done, and I don't know, seems you don't get a full signal to let other drivers know your changing lanes, it takes that long. Another thing is the reverse lights are NOT as bright as OE with a LED bulb. When I put in reverse, its pretty dim, and cant really see far back at night to make sure all is clear. Id like that brighter, but there is really no way of 'modding' that to make them brighter. But if overlooking those things, they look awesome. The black housing really compliments my truck being Green and Black. Now they fit perfect, no issues with that, they match the body lines and don't stick out. They do seem really well made, but time will tell how long they last, but few months in, and no issues with any bad LED's. They are pricey, and for the small issues they have with the blinkers, and the dim reverse light, I don't know if its a best bang for the buck, if those issues are fixed to be better, faster, then would be well worth the price. Install was pretty straight forward, they do use the OE hardware. If you have stock LED lights like I did, you will have to also order the tail light harness converter, but it was all plug and play. No hyperflashing from the beginning, and still working fine. They look great.
