Description
Improved Stock Sound. Upgrade your ’11 to ’14 Ford Super Duty Truck’s stock sound by installing the AFE Large Bore-HD 5-Inch DPF-Back Single Side Exit Exhaust System. This DPF-back exhaust’s wider diameter, straight-through piping focuses your factory exhaust tone—upping the volume level while increasing its low-end tone. The result is an exhaust tone that’s loud enough to turn fellow motorists’ heads, but not enough to wake the neighbors.
Maximized Exhaust Flow. The AFE DPF-Back Single Side Exit Exhaust System’s larger diameter piping is designed to maximize the function of your stock exhaust. This larger piping connects to your truck’s DPF and is designed to improved exhaust gas flow, adding extra horsepower and torque.
Sturdy Build Quality. The AFE Large Bore-HD 5-Inch DPF-Back Single Side Exit Exhaust System is manufactured from 5-inch wide 409 stainless steel piping for superior durability and corrosion resistance. This DPF-back exhaust’s piping is fully mandrel-bent ensuring rigidity and a turbulence-free inner structure for maximum flow. Moreover, this exhaust system does not include an exhaust tip, giving it a more rugged look.
Simple Install Procedure. The AFE Large Bore-HD 5-Inch DPF-Back Single Side Exit Exhaust System is designed to mount on your truck’s factory exhaust location after the DPF. You may need to cut the mid-pipe depending on the length of your truck bed. Other than this step, installation is a relatively simple procedure that will require just standard hand tools.
Application. The AFE Large Bore-HD 5-Inch DPF-Back Single Side Exit Exhaust System fits all 2011 to 2014 6.7L Ford F-350 Super Duty models.

It works on trucks with 5th wheel
The exhaust is made out of good quality. The only thing I had a problem with was a clamp that wouldn't tighting. I had to get a band clamp form the parts store. It looks better than factory exhaust on the exit.

Slick Exhaust
Installed in about 1.5 hours, a few hand tools and a metal saw of some sort was all that was needed. Very little difference in sound, noticed around a 2 MPG increase at 65 MPH. Added a AFE Cold air intake and now I am getting around 5 MPG increase at 65 MPH. ALL IN ALL GREAT BUY!!!

Old school
Looks great on my 2019 F350 6.7 dually, it's brought back the old school 1980's dual exhaust look. The only negative I have is that it describes that this system has a moderate level sound, I can't really tell a difference from the stock exhaust. Very easy to install, worst part of it was breaking loose the 02 sensor from the old exhaust. But other than that, at least I'm happy with the looks.

Muffler was exactly what I was expecting. It has a nice tone at Idle and when reved up it gets louder but very comfortable, not obnoxious.

Perfect
Great way to give the 5.3 a nice rumble without breaking the bank or waking the neighbors but know when it’s there when you gas it. Also just enough to be able to cut off the flapper. Just added a few welds for a couple leaks I couldn’t get to close up and for security down the road.

for the price its a decent muffler set up, fit was great and the loudness and tone is good, discourged as its been less then a year and the body is showing rust at the seams so will have to replace in the future.

Amazing sound and Quality
A friend of mine installed the Apollo GT ser on his F-150. The sound was perfect and he had nothing but great things to say about fit and quality, After mt installation which was straight forward and relatively simply I could not Agree more. Oh and the sound. That wonder rumble. Not obnoxiously load but enough to let other know that you arrived. Time to install was under 2hrs.

Nice exhaust
Not a bad system, it is a little loud for me. had to replace due to the flex joint cracked on the stock system and i was smelling exhaust in the cab. This was a cheaper option than having a muffler shop install a system that was not stainless steel and tried to duplicated the stock exhaust. I opted to have a shop that was recommended by American truck to install the system, they did a great job and finished in a timely manner.

Couple flaws, great neighborhood friendly sound
Sound: perfect for a neighborhood, it’s just loud enough that it might not work well for an apartment complex but normal houses should be fine. At idle it’s moderate, foot down it roars pretty good. Install: simple enough, one of the middle hanger brackets is definitely strained more than normal, and it’s just the location of the hook on the exhaust. The major flaw… RUST! This is advertised as a high level steel and comparable in price to a Borla (never really rusts). I’ve had this on for one year and the entire exhaust had rust spots all over it. Nothing that is detrimental, but give it 5 years and I’ll probably be replacing it.
