2015 F-250 Super Duty

For their 2015 F-250 Super Duty, Ford made some significant revisions to the optional 6.7L Powerstroke turbocharged diesel V8 engine meaning it can pump out 440horsepower and 860ft-lbs, an increase from 400 and 800 respectively in the 2014 model year. It comes standard with a 6.2L gasoline V8 capable of 385 horsepower and 405lb-ft of torque. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission and can be configured for either rear and four-wheel drive. With three cab styles and five trim levels, the 2015 F-250 - when properly equipped - can tow up to 14,000lbs, and when configured for fifth-wheel towing, that increases to 16,800lbs. The maximum payload capacity for this heavy duty pickup is 4,130 pounds.

Safe All-Weather Driving

Mud flaps, mud guards or splash guards -- all the same exterior upgrade that contribute to safer and more comfortable driving conditions in all types of weather. The F-250 is a high riding vehicle with large wheel wells, leaving much of the bed exposed to flying debris, including dirt and salt, which overtime can corrode your paint and your undercarriage. A budget-friendly investment, mud flaps help to protect your truck, your passengers, other vehicles on the road and pedestrians from that spray or splash back of water, rocks, mud or snow coming from your rotating tires. Manufactured from rubber, thermoplastic and other flexible yet durable materialism they are usually suspended behind the tires of the vehicle. Mud guards can be sold individually, in pairs or in full kits of four and depending on the style, may require some drilling into your F-250’s inner fender well areas.

Super Duty Brakes

With a curb weight of 6328lbs, this is a big heavy truck and bringing its considerable bulk to a complete stop requires capable brakes. For the average daily driver, the stock setup should be more than adequate, but should you intend to test your F-250’s max payload or towing capacity, you’re going to want to upgrade your brake setup. A big brake kit is effectively an oversized caliper that houses an oversized brake pad and rotor. It will provide better responsiveness and shorter braking distances. Its bigger size means larger heat sink: the brakes are better able to absorb the heat generated under heavy braking. The included rotors are also slotted, unlike the solid face style of the OEMs. This design helps to dissipate heat faster and prevent brake fade. Alongside improved braking performance, the massive calipers of a big brake kit are available in a variety of color finishes, and can also be further customised with a final powdercoat finish to really make the wheel wells of your F-250 pop.

Complete Frontend Protection

A brush guard will maximize the aggressive good looks of your 2015 F-250 while also protecting its front grille and headlights. Not to be confused with bull bars, a brush guard (or grille guard) will offer more complete frontend protection. Where a bull bar will really only protect the central portion of a vehicle’s front end, a brush guard also includes wraparound wing guards that provide protection for the headlights as well as the grille. Manufactured from high quality durable steel tubing, a grille guard’s “H”-shaped frame has two vertical members, called risers, and a center horizontal member, the crossbar or center flange. Depending on the style, a brush guard may also include a punch plate as well as either a built-in LED light bar housing or pre-drilled holes to allow for extra aftermarketing lighting. The more rugged grille guards can include a winch mount as well.
