The Ranger Mega Cooler has been tested to lower temperatures up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit on the dyno. On the street and at the track, even better temperatures are possible. This impressive reduction in temperature will result in great gains in power! The reduced temperatures let you increase the spark advance and get more oxygen into the engine for increased power. It provides more consistent power, faster recovery times, and maintains safety from detonation.
Bar and plate core for better heat transfer. Constructed using a bar and plate core, the intercooler promotes heat transfer for more efficient operation than tube and fin cores. The intercooler features a 43% greater volume and offset fin on the hot and cold side for even greater cooling capacity.
Smooth airflow. Cast aluminum tanks provide a smoother flow of air than their sheet metal counterparts. This provides more consistent cooling and a low pressure drop in the intercooler.
Whipple Tuner and Custom Tune. Whipple includes their own tuning device with the kit and a new tune to improve the power of your truck. The tune not only makes use of the upgraded intercooler, it also updates the shift strategy of the truck for a more exciting experience for the driver.
