2019-2023 Ford Ranger Accessories & Parts
The 2019-2023 Ranger may be a reboot of a classic, but there’s a slew of improvements to be excited about. The first question truck enthusiasts may ask is regarding durability. Can the Ranger handle off-road excursions and towing? The short answer is yes. The long answer lies in the body of the Ranger. The truck features a full boxed, high strength steel frame and boasts six crossmembers for further rigidity. The Ranger comes off the assembly line with steel bumpers and tow hooks mounted to the frame. The FX4 Off-Road package comes adorned in some skid plates as well. To say Ford prepared ahead of time for this classic’s release is an understatement. The Ranger prototypes were tortured in high temperature towing situations, hours on the vehicle shaker, and treacherous off-roading trails while being piloted by robots. The 2019-2023 Ranger is ready for work.
There are three sub-models: XL, XLT, and the Lariat. All of which come with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission. This iteration of the EcoBoost makes 270 horsepower and 310 ft-lbs of torque. Ford claims the Ranger has the best MPG of all mid-size pickups, helped along by direction injection and the auto stop-start feature. Note that start-stop doesn’t operate while towing or if 4WD is in use. The SuperCab Ranger has a 6-ft. bed while the SuperCrew has a 5-ft. bed.
The FX4 Off-Road package we mentioned earlier is for those looking to take their Ranger on numerous adventures right off the showroom floor. With high approach and departure angles and aggressive all-terrain tires, the FX4 Ranger can take on various trails. Paired with the terrain management system (normal, grass, gravel/snow, mud-ruts, and sand), off-road cruise control, and electronic locking rear differentials, the FX4 is a force to be reckoned with off-road.
