Increase Power And Performance. It doesn't matter if your Sierra is a daily driver or a dedicated work truck an increase in horsepower and torque is always a plus. You can add the extra power you crave by simply installing a Volant Closed Box Cold Air Intake that includes a MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter. The Volant Cold Air Intake replaces the restrictive stock air box and paper filter element with a custom air box and a free flowing MaxFlow 5 filter assembly. This Intake will improve the airflow path into your Sierra's engine creating more usable power and better fuel economy.
No Tune Required. Volant engineered their Cold Air Intake to improve the performance of your Sierra without the need of reprogramming your computer. By utilizing flow dynamics, this Intake will increase power using the original factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this Cold Air Intake.
MaxFlow 5 Air Filter. The included MaxFlow 5 high-performance air filter is made to provide greater airflow, with peak performance, and provides up to 98 % efficiency. The Filter features 5 layers of cotton gauze and a well-designed pleat structure that increases load capacity. It is oiled, washable, and reusable and only needs maintenance every 40,000 miles.
Closed Air Box Design. Featuring a custom high-velocity venturi filter adapter, this Volant air box far outflows the factory intake. One of the cooler features of the Volant air box is the clear plexiglass window. This window not only adds eye catching appeal, but makes it easy to check your filters condition with just a glance.
Bolt-on Installation. Volant designed their Cold Air Intake kit to be a direct bolt-on replacement. With no special tools or extra modifications required installation can be completed in under an hour. All parts and detailed instructions are included.
