Recalibrate After Gear Change. Expect the speedometer to give out inaccurate speed measurements after installation. You’ll need to recalibrate the computer to account for any change of gear ratio.
Installation Not for Beginners. The installation of this 9.5 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit would require specialized tools and equipment. Technical Note. GMC Sierra 4WD models require identical or close to identical front and back gear ratio. Engaging 4WD on mismatched gears could cause serious damage to any of your drivetrain components.
