If you're looking for an easy-to-install, affordable way to help keep your truck level and stable when towing, or hauling a heavy load, well, then the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System might just be the way to go for your 2017 and newer Super Duty. Now the Timbren System will replace your factory rear bump stops with a heavy-duty rubber spring that will drastically improve the ride quality while preventing rear-end squat in your rig. Now price point for the kit itself will hover in that low- to mid-$200 range, and the install, at least according to the site, is getting a strong one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and take about an hour at most to complete from start to finish. So if you're watching this video, then chances are you already know why you need to add something like the Timbren System here, basically, to help reduce rear-end sag whenever hauling or towing heavy, and to add more stability at the same time. Now what happens when you haul or tow heavy without any aftermarket support in the rear is that that added weight contributes to a decent amount of sag depending on your load. And at that point, the front end gets a little light. It's going to reduce the steering and braking capabilities, along with raising your headlight beams at the same time just making for an overall sketchy experience. Now there are a couple of different ways to go about fixing this, one of which would be to add an airbag system. But let's face it that can get a little bit pricey, along with being more difficult to install due to having to run an air compressor, along with the necessary wiring and air lines. Now your other option would be to go with something like the Timbren System here, which is essentially a helper spring system that will not only be a lot more affordable but will also be a lot easier to install. And best of all, these guys are completely maintenance-free.Now what this kit from Timbren will do is, basically, replace your cheap factory jounce or bump stops with a set of heavy-duty rubber helper springs to act as a new bump stop when unloaded, but as a helper spring once you've hooked up to your trailer or camper, and at this point provide a much smoother ride, along with a much more controlled ride. Now it's able to do this through the hollow rubber spring here, which does feature a progressive spring rate much like a wound steel spring. Basically, the harder that rubber is compressed, the harder it's going to work at keeping the rear end of your Super Duty level, while still controlling the compression and rebound of the rear end. And again, just making for a much smoother and safer ride. Now those rubber springs are going to ride in your included steel brackets over here, which had been powder coated black to resist corrosion over the years. Best part about this, guys, is again because this is so simple, and because this is maintenance-free, Timbren does back each set with a lifetime warranty against any failures or defects. Another nice thing about this kit is the ease of install. A simple two-bolt job here, guys, that can be done in an hour or less from start to finish. And just to give you a better idea of how things will go down, what do you say we head out to the shop now and I'll walk you through the job.Tools I used for this installation include an air ratchet, 3/8 ratchet, long extension, 17-millimeter socket, 15-millimeter socket, and some electrical tape. Getting started here with our Timbren install today, guys, we have our 250 up in the air a little bit. You don't have to, but we wanted to take the wheel off to show you a little bit better of the area in which you will be working. Here is your factory bump stops or jounce stops as they're sometimes called. They're secured by two 15 millimeter bolts or nuts right here. Your first step is going to be just to remove these two 15 millimeter nuts here for the factory jounce stops, and that will get those out of the way. Well, after that quick removal, we figured it would be a great opportunity to throw the factory jounce stop next to the Timbren SES, and show you the differences between the two. And while yes, these two are going to install in the same location, they really couldn't be more different by design. The jounce stop is, basically, your last line of defense between the leaf spring just bottoming out against the chassis or the rear end. Whereas this is going to act as a spring, a progressive spring at that, that's going to control the load in the rear end from bouncing and rebounding kind of wildly when you're trailering something heavy, or even hauling something heavy in the bed. So it's going to offer a more controlled movement. It's going to level out the rear end when towing. Obviously, that's the biggie here as well. And then it's going to activate this rubber spring to control the load, keep things from sagging, and just make for a much more stable ride overall. So again, this really...once you get to this, you basically, lose all of your suspension travel in the rear. You're riding on this little film piece. This is going to act as a nice little spring, keeping that rear-end solid, stable, and make for a much smoother ride. So now that you know some of the differences between the two, let's get this installed. Now that we have everything on the table, we're going to assemble our Timbren system here. At least for the driver side, we have a rubber spring. Obviously, the included bracket and the 17-millimeter headed bolt that we are going to use to secure the spring to the actual bracket. Now there is a washer inside of that rubber spring. You just kind of jimmy it around a little bit. Make sure it's nice and even down there. And once you have that in place, you can grab your bolt, grab a 17-millimeter socket, and then we have to fish this through because, basically, this is going to go through there and thread into your bracket. Now because gravity is going to take over at a certain point, you can get creative, hold it upside down. I like doing the electrical tape on the bolt head trick. Snugs it up in the socket a little bit more, and just to me, seems to work best for my little backyard hack. But you can do whatever you want. Kind of wrap this thing up with a little electrical tape. Get it nice and snug here in our socket like so and ready to install.Again, make sure your bolt hole is aligned. Make sure that washer isn't in your way. Fish your bolt down through. Thread it in place. With the fully-assembled Timbren all ready to go, we're going to get it in place here on the existing factory studs, and we are going to reuse the factory 15-millimeter nuts to secure this to the frame rail. So pretty simple stuff. Get it in place on studs. I'm going to use these 15-millimeter nuts we removed earlier. Thread them on finger tight. Now you can send them home with our air ratchet. All right, with the driver's side knocked out, you're simply just going to repeat that process over on the passenger side. And that's going to complete your install. And, guys, we hope you enjoyed this brief review and install of the Timbren SES System available for your 2017 and newer Super Duty at home. Timbren ses
Easy install. Fitment is pretty good. I wouldn't recommend buying the extra spacers, even with my small lift I couldn't use the supplied 1 inch spacer that comes with. Haven't tested under a load but seem to be of good quality.

Great for towing
Works great when towing my 13,000 lb. fifth wheel camper. Need a chiropractor when not towing anything, however, they are so easy to install, I take them on and off whenever towing.

Easy install
These were easy to install though I havent tested them loaded yet but i have felt the bounce on speed bumps. I think when I take them off between when they are needed I will just remove the whole bracket with the bumper still on it as you just need to remove one bolt and loosen the other.

They Do What They Say They'll Do
Installed these on a 222 Ram 2500 4x4 with 8' service bed. They take the sag out of the rear end and control the sway on rough roads.

Easy installation/affordable
Stock suspension on Ram 2500. Use without spacer creates approximately 1” gap to axel. Very easy install, affordable, maintenance free!
