If you're looking for an easy and relatively affordable way to dress up and protect the door sills in your 2017 and newer Super Duty at home, then you might want to consider a set of these officially licensed Tuf-Liner sill protection pads that we have here today. Now, this pair of liners will feature the official Ford Super Duty logo in gray, along with a very durable bedliner style construction, offer 30 to 40 bucks or so for the pair. Now, the peel and stick install will get a very soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and I would say take about 15 minutes tops to complete from start to finish. But as always, guys, hang with me for a bit and I'll walk you through that job later in the video. So, as you guys can see, this is a small, but I would say unique way to kill two birds with one stone, right? You're going to add a little customization to an otherwise forgotten about area, all while protecting that area at the same time. And you guys know the deal, getting in and out of your truck time and time again, you can drop your keys, drop the tool, maybe even sometimes hit it with your boot, catch a door sill funny, and that's ultimately gonna lead to a bunch of small dents, scratches, dirt, all that stuff's going to build up over time. Now, that's where these Tuf-Liners come into play. These affordable little things install over the metal portion of your inside door sill, protecting it from those drops and boot slams, and do so in a very cool way, thanks to the official Ford licensing and Super Duty logos. Now, as you can see, we do have the gray version here, but you can also find a ton of other options back on the site, including white, red, black, and, of course, blue. Now, also worth mentioning here guys that while, yes, these are only going to be for the fronts, you can find a set of matching rears on the site for a few bucks less. Now, as for the materials, well, best way I can really describe this stuff is that it's very similar to a bedliner material in regards to thickness and overall texture, but also toughness. Then you get the sense that these things are certainly up to the task of taking some abuse in your rig, and as such are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Now, the backside has already been equipped with 3M automotive grade adhesive, which will result in a very simple and straightforward install, which, by the way, is a great time to throw out to our Super Duty in the shop and show you how it's done. Check it out.Tools I used for this installation include a cleaning solution, along with a clean microfiber towel. Getting started here with our door sill protection installed today, guys, pretty simple stuff, as you might imagine, peel and stick job. But like any peel and stick job, you really want to make sure you do a great job of cleaning the surface first, that way you can ensure a nice, tight, and secure bond over the long run with the 3M tape on the back. So, first things first, we have a microfiber towel, spread down a little cleaning solution. Let's go ahead and wipe the area first. With the area nice and clean, now I'm just going to eyeball everything, kind of get an idea for where I want this guy to live. So, it's always a good idea to hold it up in place. To me, it makes sense just to line it up with our traction surface, right there, make for a nice clean install. So, once we have a good idea where we want this to live, we're going to start by peeling 1 inch off the back of the door sill protection just to reveal the top portion.Just about an inch from the top here, this is going to allow us to kind of stick it in place. Make sure we're perfectly aligned before we peel off the rest of the backing. With just our 1-inch of top backing peel, now I'm going to line it up. The goal to me is get it nice and tight or at least even underneath this rubber seal so you don't see any of our silver paint. It'll make for a nice, seamless appearance once it's installed. Again, the beauty of having only the top portion revealed as far as the adhesive is concerned, we can kind of fold it over and get a good idea if we're level or not. You want to make sure your gap basically on this side is going to be the same over there. And it looks like we're doing pretty good. So, once you're happy with your alignment, your placement, now we can just go ahead and peel off the rest of our backing and get it in place. I kind of like to work it down because this bend here is going to be the most important part. Make sure you get this part really good. And with everything smoothed out, that's going to wrap up this very simple install of our front door sill protection, available for your 2017 and newer Super Duty at home. Guys, we hope you enjoyed this brief review and install, and as always, keep in mind, for more cool products like this, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
