Description
Versatile Hitch Tubing. Curt manufactures this F-250 Super Duty 2-Inch Receiver Hitch Tubing for users who want to create custom towing solutions, workshop projects, or other jobs that require a sturdy hitch connection. It’s compatible with any shank measuring 2 Inches and is 6 Inches long itself. The accepted shanks include trailer hitch ball mounts and tow hooks.
Reinforced Collar. The opening of this receiver hitch tubing is reinforced with 0.50 Inches of steel for extra durability. As this component is designed to accept trailer hitch pins, Curt also elected to drill a hole behind the collar for convenience. These benefits make it easier to integrate the tubing into many projects.
Made Of Steel. The receiver hitch tubing is made of steel for extra durability and rigidity. However, the surface is left unfinished and raw to facilitate welding as the project requires. You can polish the surface yourself or coat it with a layer of paint.
Welding Required. As a component designed for custom towing systems and more, this receiver hitch tubing must be welded onto other pieces for the best results. The raw steel surface makes this possible – a surface with a finish will result in loose integration. If you don’t have the necessary welding skills, it’s best to ask a trained professional for assistance.
