Safe Design. The Smittybilt Adjustable Tow Bar Kit is built with a strong 2" coupler and with sturdy material that ensures it doesn’t buckle under pressure even when working at full capacity. It is sold with a safety chain to safeguard against sudden tension or thrust that pull against your truck. The safety chain is fitted onto both the towing truck and the loaded vehicle to protect you from both sides. It's recommended to keep speeds below 45 mph to avoid exceeding the towing capacity of the kit due to excessive momentum.
Easy Installation. The Smittybilt Adjustable Tow Bar Kit is adjustable to fit a variety of bumper widths but it is built for installation on Smittybilt bumpers. The installation process involves fastening the universal bumper mount bracket onto the bumper, attaching the D-ring mount brackets at the end of the tow bar arms, then securing the safety chains accordingly.
