Review shared from Rugged Radios A-Pillar Antenna Mount; Driver Side (15-25 F-150)
Works great, depending on use scenario.
I'm going to try to add a couple of pictures, as it appears there is only one other review that has them. Looks as if he may have been using the passenger side mount. Overall the mount is sturdy, and seems like it'll hold up longer than the aluminum on the truck itself. I needed this to work for an nmo mount for my GMRS radio. A heads up for anyone else contemplating this, the hole is going to need to be widened with a step drill bit. Little ingenuity, a decent drill, and some oil, and it works great. With our aluminum trucks, there aren't a lot of antenna options. The best is $360....but, pass. This looks fine, and still works. I needed a m2m 12ft angled rg58 cable, which I routed by the driver door, and up along the dash. Also needed the Anina NMO to UHF Female SO-239 Connector NMO Mount Assembly to pair my antenna to the mount. So, anyone else looking to do the same will know what to grab ahead of time. Overall, the mount itself is fantastic. Just know you'll be widening the hole to use as an nmo mount, you'll need to remove the wiper arm/driver side cowl to make it easier to work. Also you aren't going to get the same range from the antenna as you would with it on the roof.

Review shared from Rugged Radios A-Pillar Antenna Mount; Driver Side (10-18 RAM 3500)
Pretty Good
Installed on '18 Ram 3500. Pros: - Easy install. Secured through existing bolt. - Sturdy - Doesn't impeded hood from being opened. Cons: - Antenna mounting surface was canted 10 degrees. I had to use a wrench to bend it horizontal. Fortunately it was easy to do. - Very little space above fender to run antenna wires. I had to buy a 90 elbow connector and it still barely fit (actually nicks paint a little) .

2024 GMC AT4HD Amateur Radio Antenna Mount
I bought this mount blind and without reviews for my new truck since I did not want to continue using a mag mount for my mobile amateur radio operating. This is the first time I have permanently mounted an antenna on any of my daily driver vehicles. My truck is a '24, but the website does not offer that as a selection. To be fair, there are still 23 days til 2024 and you can't rush these things. ;) Anyway, the mount is awesome, strong, and looks great. I would have liked a wider opening (18mm) option for the SO-239 plate mount that I selected, but I had a drill and a step bit handy and was able to open the hole for my purposes. Now comes the decision! A snap in cowl panel needed to be popped out to access the stud and nut that is needed to hold the mount secure. Unfortunately, the cowl only has only one molded hole that is just big enough fit the radio antenna. I needed make the decision to use a rotary tool to open the cowl for the bracket to be able to slide through the cowl upon re-installation. I then found that when the mount is installed, it does not allow enough room to re-install the truck radio antenna, but I was not concerned with that because I mainly use USB and bluetooth for my music. Surprisingly, the amateur radio antenna mount is inches from the truck antenna post mount and I ran the radio dials and received perfect signals. =) Unintended, but it works for me since I am not a broadcast radio guy, but can pick it up if I need to. I really like this mount and plan to buy another one for my work truck that currently uses the mag mount. A wider diameter option would be nice, but it is not a deal breaker for me. I'd love to offer pictures, but the review page does not have the ability to upload pictures. That is my review and I hope it helps someone else decide on purchasing the Rugged Radios A-Pillar Antenna Mount.
