Description
Bumper Upgrade. This Rough Country Heavy Duty LED Rear Bumper is an exciting upgrade from the stock bumper of your RAM 1500. Featuring LED cubes for off-road lighting and two integrated steps to allow you to easily access the bed, this bumper is a worthwhile upgrade from the stock bumper.
Retains Stock Benefits. This rear bumper is designed to let you use the existing anti-collision system with the included backup sensor relocators. This bumper also lets you retain the factory receiver hitch so towing options are not affected.
Includes LED Lights. This aftermarket rear bumper comes with a pair of LED Cube Lights on either end. These flush-mounted lights are pre-installed, and they offer additional illumination for greater visibility, especially during nighttime off-roading adventures.
Rugged Construction. Completely made of high-quality steel, this bumper is designed to take the rough and tumble of off-road or street use. Two LED cubes are mounted flush on the bumper for a smooth look. A black carbon power coating tops off the ensemble and ensures resistance to abrasion and corrosion.
Bolt-On Installation. This bumper is a direct replacement for the stock bumper so installation uses the existing factory bumper mounts. Some common tools and a moderate amount of mechanical skills are required.
Covered by a 3-Year Warranty. The manufacturer backs this rear bumper with its 3-year warranty. Please check the manufacturer’s website for more details on terms and conditions.
Application. The Rough Country Heavy Duty LED Rear Bumper fits 2019-2025 RAM 1500 models. This does not fit the 2019 RAM 1500 Classic.

Great aftermarket
Easy to install great quality , the only issue is the license plate light bolts, it is a bad design on the rust belt or if you need to change your plate, but I still give it a ten.

Bumper looks great, install was easy with standard sockets. The clips to hold the sensors did not hold sensors in tight, had to improvise to make work right. Beyond that everything went great.

Wanted a substantial metal bumper. This is 5/16 thick metal and feels solid and it won't crumple like the oem bumper did. Love the steps on the corners. I had it professionally installed, but still need to hook up rear lights.

Looks great but...
So in all fairness I am a picky mechanic so with that said the bumper is 3x as heavy as the factory OEM. That's a good thing and the steps are great addition as is the back up lights. The installation instructions could use some additional editing in the area of the sensor installation if you have them. The housings on the farthest out sensors are positioned in a way that made it nearly impossible to plug in i had to unmount them then connect the plugs and reinstall them. Also there are extension cables that came with the kit that are not mentioned in the manual nor are they mentioned in the provided online video but the video did aid in a few portions of the installation thank you. The basic mechanical removal and installation of the bumper was fairly straight forward. It's the wiring that's gets aggravating at times. The trailer 7 pin connector dosnt just snap in as described in the video I had to remove the mounting clips and bend them to get a secure fitment. The wiring also for the 7 pin connector just barely reaches. The license plate bulb housing is not plug and play and is of cheap construction i feel the manufacturer could think that through a little better. The puck lights are easy and plug and play i chose not to spend the time running the wiring harness which how to do is not mentioned in the instructions but is provided along with extension cables if you have sensors on your old bumper which you also have to figure out on your own. They do show online how to attach the lights and run the switch through the firewall. I wanted the lights for backing up to my trailer at night as well as better lighting when in reverse so I tied them into the back of my 7 pin trailer plug so when I put the vehicle in reverse they automatically come on. On my 2018 the center wire is the reverse connection and white is ground. FYI. I recommend the bumper and after installing it and figuring out the parts not in the manual I would think 2 hours would be accurate for installation time if I were to do it again on another truck.

Great bumper
My son and I installed the Rough Country HD LED Rear bumper on my 2016 Ram 1500 V8 Hemi. It took us approximately 5 hours start to finish but it wasn't hard. The directions aren't overly descriptive but most of the steps are intuitive once you are looking at your truck. We raised the truck on ramps to help with access. Wiring the fogs lights from the battery wasn't too hard either--pushing the wire through the firewall boot was the hardest step. The bumper and fog lights look great. Very happy with the product.

Great bumper at any price
The bumper was easy to install, fitment was perfect. Lines up with the body lines of the truck and gives it a tough look. The fog light wiring is simple. Anyone that can read can wire them up. Even if you are not proficient at wiring. Only down side is the license plate bulb/ wire design needs to be redesigned. With a plug and play with the factory harness.

Bumper nice, wiring so so
Very nice bumper, looks great. Two small issues with the wiring. The license plate lights are replaced by ones that double as the license plate bolts. They are spliced into the wiring so if you have to change the plate you’ll have to cut the wires again. Second, the on/off switch has the writing upside down if you bring the cord out from under the dash. I guess I could drill a 1/2” hole in my dash so it hangs right…not.

this is my fourth install on my truck front tires leveling kit front bumper rear bumper . I have a new tonneau cover for the bed that i will install tomorrow . all installs went pretty easy . But I am very happy with the products that american truck sells they are well built . And they look awesome .There is about six other things I will be installing on my 2017 dodge ram 1500 in the coming months Edward Slawinski

Great Purchase.
Very glad I purchase this back bumper, installation was pretty easy. Helps to have impact tools. I would say the step on both sides have been my favorite part. Stock RAM bumpers aren't wide enough to get a solid food but this bumper with the steps has been great. The down side is the license plate lights that came with the bumper are already burnt out and were a black light type color not to mention I had to wire the lights myself and it throws a "license plate light out" on my dash since the first day of install. But when I converted to LED on my stock bumper it did the same thing...can't complain to much. All in all, very happy.
