Strong and Thick protection to replace oem fiber cover
Was looking for a replacement to the oem fiber cover that was worn and sagging under the truck and offered no protection to the plastic covers and piping near the oil pan and transmission. The installation was simple and only had to cut off one factory bolt that the retainer broke and caused the bolt to just spin. New bolts and bars are thick and durable and will not bend or break, the oem ones were not as strong looking. I chose not to replace the oem engine and transmission skid plates at this time but if the price drops I might add them due to the quality of this one.

Good and Bad
I'm generally happy with the quality of this skid plate. My '24 F-150 Tremor has a factory engine skid plate in front of it and a factory transfer case skid plate behind it. In order to fit with the factory skid plate in front, I had to trim the two front tabs on the Rival plate to match the curved rib of the factory skid plate, not too bad but took couple of cuts and smoothing with a sander. The two outside rear holes aligned well, the center did not. I ended up drilling a new center hole to align with the factory transfer case skid plate and tapping the Rival skid plate to bolt them together. Ended up with a combination of three factory bolts and two of the supplied Rival bolts. I'm sure I voided the Rival warranty but I did not want to modify the Ford parts and did not. Originally purchased for Cat protection, which it provides some deterrent, but the side flaps do not provide full Cat coverage. Hopefully enough coverage to make the deadbeat thief look elsewhere.
