      Description

      Replace the Tailgate. Your vehicle’s tailgate plays a couple of important roles. The most obvious is that it serves as a guard for your cargo, only lowering when you need to load or unload. Furthermore, it also offers you an easier way to load thanks to providing some surface area to slide heavy cargo along. This RAM 1500 Tailgate is designed by Sherman to be a direct replacement for your vehicle’s stock tailgate. It’s ideal as a cost-effective spare or a replacement for tailgates that have seen better days.

      Factory-Quality Construction. The RAM 1500 Tailgate is designed to meet your vehicle’s OEM specifications. Sherman uses solid steel in construction, granting the tailgate strength and longevity in the process. The manufacturer also uses an EDP coating to guard the tailgate against the corrosion and rust caused by environmental toxins and the elements.

      Direct Installation. Fitting your new RAM 1500 Tailgate is as simple as removing the stock tailgate and using the existing hardware to install your new one. No complicated cutting, welding, or drilling is required to install this part.

      A Lifetime of Protection. Sherman’s limited lifetime warranty means you’re covered if your new part demonstrates any signs of material or manufacturing defects. This warranty is non-transferable, meaning it only applies to the original part purchaser, and carries some exclusions. Read the full warranty for further details.

      Application. The RAM 1500 Tailgate is designed for direct installation onto the rear of the 2002-2008 Dodge RAM 1500.

      Installation Difficulty. Beginner to moderate skill is required to install this tailgate because some minor tool work is required. Expect to spend about an hour working on this part.
