2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT grille assembly

The “chrome” on my grille was peeling along most of the top portion and looked like crap. Purchased an “open box and slightly damaged” grille assembly at substantial savings. Pictures showing the crack in the plastic seemed too small to matter. Received delivery on time and had a hard time trying to locate the “crack” as it was on the lower back edge of the grille. Watched a video online showing installation. I am NOT an auto mechanic; retired union carpenter. Easy installation using a single nut driver attached to a cordless drill. It literally took longer to find and watch an installation video, than it took to remove the old and install the new. Black inserts were already attached to the grille housing. The whole unit weighed maybe 10 pounds. Save the screws from the old grille (about 12 total) because the new one did not come with hardware. I don’t know if that was because it was an “open box” item or the product doesn’t come with hardware. With the 2 new headlights I also installed, the front end looks brand new. And this was installed on a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with 297,000+ miles on it.
