Get this rear PowerStop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Rotor & Pad Kit to get a quicker, smoother, and more powerful braking action. This kit, which features Evolution rotors and Z23 brake pads, is suitable for both casual driving and more intensive, dynamic driving.
Constructed From G3000-Grade Cast Iron. PowerStop’s Evolution rotors are made from G3000-grade cast iron blanks to ensure their longevity. In addition, they are also 100% mill-balanced for a perfect fit and a huge reduction in braking NVH (noises, vibrations, and harshness). To give them extra durability and enhanced rust and corrosion resistance, these cast iron rotors are plated with silver zinc dichromate.
One-Piece Rotors With Vents, Slots, and Holes. Apart from their heavy-duty construction, these rotors also feature several vents, rounded slots, and cross-drilled holes. The vents and slots keep the rotors cool, so that they can provide consistent stopping power even through intense braking. Meanwhile, the cross-drilled holes help keep the rotor’s surface clear of debris, gases, and moisture. In turn, the brake pads will have a cleaner surface to “bite” for an increased grip.
Z23 Series Carbon Fiber-Ceramic Brake Pads. PowerStop used a unique carbon fiber-ceramic blend for these Z23 brake pads. This is to ensure their consistent friction output and excellent durability. Moreover, these brake pads have thermal-scorched surface to shorten the break-in period and increase their heat resistance. Lastly, the backing plates have a powder-coated finish to give these brake pads better protection against rust and corrosion.
Low-Noise and Less-Dust Operation. The carbon fiber-ceramic material of these brake pads also contributes to their low dust production. This is important in keeping the rotor contact patch clean, resulting in a stronger grip for more stopping power. Less dust also means an easier time in maintaining your wheels and tires. In addition to less dust, these brake pads are also extremely quiet. They feature rubberized shims and a chamfered, slotted surface to produce the least amount of noise possible.
Hassle-Free Installation for Upgrading or Replacing Old Parts. You can use this rear brake kit as direct replacements for old, worn-out parts or upgrades for stock components. For a hassle-free installation that will take about 2 hours, you’ll need jack stands as well as some simple hand tools.
