Description
Oil Flow Optimization. Stressing the engine and pushing your vehicle to its limits will eventually cause oil buildup. If you want to ensure proper functionality for your piping, turbocharger, intake manifold, and other vital systems, installing the Mishimoto Aluminum Oil Catch Can is a good idea. This will enable better oil flow and distribution by trapping excess oil and preventing vapor overflows. Your vehicle will maintain proper combustion temperatures giving you superior performance and handling, and no longer work at reduced efficiency.
Durable Construction. This Oil Catch Can has a round shape and a tank diameter of 3.50 Inches. It measures 7 Inches in height and boasts a capacity of 30 ounces. Its aluminum construction, complete with a black anodized finish, makes it a durable upgrade capable of giving you years of service.
Adaptation Required. The Mishimoto Oil Catch Can comes with female threads and M12 x 1.0 fittings. Fortunately, it comes as part of a kit with all the required mounting hardware included. However, installing this on your RAM may require some modifications to achieve a secure fitment and proper functionality due to its universal design.
Limited Lifetime Warranty. Mishimoto offers a limited lifetime warranty covering its Aluminum Oil Catch Can against workmanship and material defects.

Useless beautiful metal cylinder
This is not a real catch can, it's just an empty cylinder. If you unscrew one of the ports and look inside with a flashlight, you will see that it's just an empty metal cylinder. It has nothing inside to separate oil. So, I think it's more a decoration than an oil catch canister. I returned it immediately.

Easy Install Nice Quality
Impressed with the quality of this catch can, very solid all the way around. Installation was really easy too, got it installed in 30 minutes. Time will tell if it catches any oil, but I took it off just to see after about 50 miles and it was dry but smelled of oil so I'm sure there will be some buildup after some more miles.

Runs way cooler than expected
I have replaced thermostats, but this makes my truck run around 160 degrees oftentimes. Which is weird because I’m in colder climate around 30-45 degrees Fahrenheit. I think this one may be stuck open. I was expecting the usual 180-190 that most people experience with this thermostat. Not sure how I feel about it yet. I have a tune set up for it so I have to run a 180 t stat but it seems to be stuck open. Easy install obviously and seems like good construction.

Good piece of mind
Everything looks good and felt good. The video instructions has the in and out lines swapped but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. No direct increase in performance but its a nice peace of mind thing and its not like its hurting anything.

Good investment in engine longevity.
I can’t really comment too much right now as I just did an oil change and replaced the stock oil pan plug with the one. But what I did notice was that this new plug seems sturdy and well made, and the magnetic tip sure is strong, so hopefully it does what it is intended for. 5 sec install…. After oil change.
