Update the Performance of that Vortec V6. The Chevy Vortec V6 offered great performance, durability, and efficiency in an affordable package when introduced. They’re still great engines today, though K&N can make them even better. The K&N Series 57 FIPK Cold Air Intake can freshen and update the performance, efficiency, and sound of your V6 in a way that’s safe, easy, and affordable.
Call on the Specialists at K&N. K&N has over 50 years and millions of miles of experience in optimizing engine breathing. The FIPK isolates your truck’s intake from hot under hood air. It also smooths airflow between the filter and manifold. That smooth-flowing blast of cold air improves combustion, resulting in an 8.21 BHP gain (sample 2001 4.3L V6) as well as improved throttle response and a deeper, throatier sound. The whole kit is covered under K&N’s million-mile warranty, including the reusable filter element.
Smooth Airflow -- Even Smoother Installation. The K&N Series 57 FIPK comes with all necessary parts and hardware for a smooth and straightforward installation. No ECM reflash is necessary. Grab some basic hand tools and follow the step-by-step instructions (and instructional online video) and you will be enjoying the benefits of cold air induction in no time.
Application. This K&N Series 57 FIPK fits your 4.3L 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado. The FIPK is CARB-certified and 50-state legal.

KNN Intake
This KNN Blackhawk CAI is magnificent, looks nice and performs way better than the stock intake system. Cleans up the engine bay as well, but the performance this intake produces is superb. Can hear the engine breathe better at a certain RPM. I advise to get the Range AFM delete so that the engine stays at V8 all the time and the engine noise doesn't change at certain RPMs.

Must do mod.
I purchased and installed the K&N Blackhawk CAI. The fitment was excellent. It looks fantastic, but the aggressive growl from the 6.2 Denali is awesome. When I put the throttle down you feel and hear the large .motor roar. I installed the PULSAR LT first and turned off Autostop and DFM, set throttle response to 3 and the speed limiter to 140. So there definitely is an increase in HP and torque from the cold air intake. I feel it in the pedal, and the exhaust/ air intake sound is a bonus. I highly recommend this modification. So worth the cost. Next mod .......a TB spacer and "all lights on" module

Blackhawk CAI 6.2L
Easy installation with basic wrenching and auto knowledge. Probably 1-2 hours install for most. Audible tone difference with no hot air issues.

5 min install
This took about 5 min to install, the paper one was getting super dusty, I know, I probably could’ve bought a paper one for $10 but, this one I can wash and reinstall

Necessary upgrade
This is something I do to all vehicles I own. It just makes sense to me. And after I saw how flimsy the factory filter was I'm glad I did.

K & N Quality
Being a K &N fan for years the CAI was what I expected. Quality and fit were right on. It took longer to pull OE out than install the K & N. After first drive I could feel and hear the difference. Appearance under the hood is impressive.
