How to Install Turn Signal Side View Mirrors

Learn how to easily install turn signal mirrors in 4 easy steps.

Turn Signal Mirrors Installation

One of the greatest things since sliced bread is the invention of side mirrors with turn signals.

Not only do these things look pretty cool, but they definitely contribute to safer driving. When you're cruising in a vehicle’s blind spot (which you really shouldn’t be doing in the first place), you can’t see their rear turn signals when they use them. And, they definitely can’t see you. But, with mirror turn signal lights, you can anticipate their next move, and make sure you’re out of the way.

Side View Mirrors Installation Steps

Once you choose your new custom side mirrors, you're ready to begin the installation. But, first you need to know just how to install a turn signal mirror. Although each brand and style may be a little bit different, the instructions below will give you an idea of what the installation process entails.

  1. Once you’ve removed your stock mirror, run your gauge wire from the mirror to your vehicle’s door, all the way to where you see that all the wires lead to.
  2. Next to the rubber conduit, you'll see a door trim beside all the wires. Tuck your wires in.
  3. Route the wires of your turn signal mirrors all the way to the headlights by snaking the wire from the mirror all the way to the engine bay.
  4. Tap the wires into the turn signal using a t-tap connector to the red and black wires.
  5. Attach your turn signal mirrors and assemble everything back. You should be able to tape the wires before you reassemble the mirror.
