Description
Improved Towing. Changing the axle ratio can be done for many reasons. In the case of 2007-2018 Sierras, it is typically to gain better towing or off-road capability. The Yukon Gear 3.90 ratio ring and pinion set is a mid-tier ratio slotted between 3.73 and 4.11. It is a mild upgrade over 3.73s that will return strong grunt down low to help get a heavy load moving with minimal sacrifice to fuel economy or daily driving. 3.90's will also provide a little more bite when off-road and will comfortably handle a tire between 29"-33".
Noise Free Operation. Yukon Gear builds their ring and pinion sets from premium 8620 triple alloy steel, an extremely high strength, durable steel that is significantly more durable than stock. Precision machined and using helical cut teeth provide, Yukon Gears provide smooth enagement and noise free operation.
Professional Installation Recommended. Due to the complexity involved with installing a new pinion and ring gear, it is recommended that the job be done by a drivetrain specialist.

Solid Gears
Excellent set of gears. Provided you have all the necessary tools, you can change your gears in your driveway easy. Local shop wanted $1600 for just the rear gears (double that if you have a 4x4). $300 and a solid Youtube video later, I have all the power that I lost when I upgraded to 35 inch tires, and then some. The Yukons make a little more noise than the manufacturer gears, but they're like half the price, so I thought that was a fair trade, plus when I upgrade my exhaust, it'll cover it.

Excellent
Gets great fuel economy and much higher top speed...not that hard to install but I recommend using a car lift. I also recommend getting a tuner to recalibrate your speedometer since you’ll be going faster
