      Description

Superior Overall Performance. When upgrading the size of your wheels, it’s critical to upgrade the axle ratio on your truck. Achieve increased performance without sacrificing fuel economy with a G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit. This kit has a gear ratio of 3.42, which gives your truck extra low-end torque, which is great for towing, hauling and driving on inclined roads.

Better than OEM Quality. The G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit starts out forged from strong 8620 triple alloy steel. It’s finely machined using the latest technology to achieve OEM specifications. This prevents installation issues and ensures that the new gears will have the prescribed clearances and backlash for needed optimal performance. In addition, mating surfaces are lapped to prevent too much friction, which could result to premature wear and axle noise.

Speedometer Tuning Recommended. Please note that changing gear ratio will definitely affect your speedometer readings. Remember to update the RPM with a handheld tuner after the installation.

Professional Installation Only. Installing your new G2 Master Bearing Install Kit is not a job for amateur enthusiasts. Only professionals or skilled mechanics with previous experience should do the job as it entails the use of specialized equipment and tools. In addition, having your kit professionally installed prevents void warranties.

Comes with a 10-Year Warranty. G2 Axle and Gear warrants their G2 Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit to be free from material and factory defects for 10 years. However, exclusions do apply so visit the manufacturer’s website to learn more.

Technical Note. GMC Sierra 4-Wheel Drive models require identical or close enough gear ratios on the front and rear axles. Too much difference in rotation on a 4WD results in broken parts like drive shafts, axles, gearbox, and more.

Application. G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit fits 2007 to 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 models.
