Review shared from Ford Performance 5.0L Coyote High Strength VCT Solenoids (13-17 5.0L F-150)
Awesome results, awesome product!
I have noticed a jump in my trucks performance overall. The truck definitely feels like it has opened up more with these new and more robust solenoids installed. Valve covers were a tad difficult getting them off but after that it was smooth sailing taking the old out and putting the new in. This does take some time to get completed but is well worth it. Definitely would recommend to others!

Ford Performance!
Fixed my stalling at stops issue that didn’t have any codes and deal shop couldn’t figure out. Took a little while to complete both sides. Hardest part was finding and removing all of the zip ties. Make sure you revive the dipstick prior to removing the driver side valve cover. Trust me, I broke mine.

Just like they said.
If your truck idles down or shuts off whenever the engine is warm and you stop at a light or sign, this is the fix. Great price also. P.S... if you can afford new valve covers..just do it. Those pesky ignition coil pack bolts break off and it isn't easy getting them out like the videos show... could be my luck though.

Review shared from Ford Performance Aluminum Cam Covers (11-17 5.0L F-150)
Aluminum valve covers
Great quality. Improved over the plastic ones. Definitely worth the money but don’t expect performance gains lol. However I trust it more than that plastic. Whenever you are doing them expect to spend several hours just because it’s tedious work. They look freaking awesome though

Review shared from Ford Performance Aluminum Cam Covers (11-17 5.0L F-150)
Better than OEM plastic cam covers.
My Gen1 Coyote cam covers cracked and began leaking after I had the cam cover gaskets replaced by my local mechanic. The cracks developed around the VCT solenoid holes. I took the vehicle back to the mechanic and the cracks were discovered. Get a new set and we are back in business, right? Wrong. Apparently, brand new OEM Plastic Gen1 cam covers are really expensive. I was quoted almost $900 for a set. In search of a less expensive alternative I remembered I had these cam covers on my wishlist. While they do not cost as much as OEM plastic parts there a few caveats. Which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. One is that the dipstick hole in the drivers side cover is not the same diameter as the one found in the original Gen1 cam cover (20mm Gen1 versus 22mm Gen2+). The solution was to get a new dipstick assembly from a Gen2 F-150 Coyote. Something not mentioned in the product literature and surely an unexpected cost. The oil cap is a newer smaller unit versus re-using the original larger cap. Lastly, the included warning about needing to purchase a ball stud kit for F-150s is misleading at best. If you have a truck that has decorative covers over the ignition coils then you will need it. If not, you do not need it at all. Overall, I like these cam covers a lot. They look much nicer than the black plastic units and brightn up the engine bay. If you find your truck with leaking gaskets or o-rings on the cam covers I would suggest upgrading to these aluminum units. So even if the covers haven’t on your truck haven’t cracked or leaked yet, eventually they will. Installing these will be a more effective repair.
