The CURT RockerBall multi-fit OEM puck system gooseneck ball with 4 in. offset features exclusive ShockDrop technology that cushions your load and delivers a smoother, more comfortable towing experience by reducing jerking and jarring when towing heavy loads on rough roads. The unique offset pin of the RockerBall is designed to dampen vertical chucking and fore-to-aft motion during starts and stops, ensuring a steady and less turbulent ride. The additional 4 in. rearward offset also improves the clearance between your truck bed and trailer, particularly benefiting short-cab pickup trucks with limited clearance. Engineered for seamless installation to accommodate hardworking pickup trucks, the CURT Rockerball multi-fit OEM puck system gooseneck ball with 4 in. offset features a patented quarter-turn installation mechanism. This innovative design allows for quick and convenient installation of the ball into the gooseneck hitch, providing full truck bed functionality when needed. When its time to free up the truck bed for other towing or cargo hauling purposes, simply lift the lever and give it a quarter-turn twist to unlock the retention balls. This enables easy removal and convenient storage. With a towing capacity of up to 30,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 7,500 lbs. vertical load, this kit is constructed from forged and machined steel alloy, ensuring exceptional strength and durability to handle even the largest of gooseneck trailers. Its important to note that these weight ratings are limited by the lowest-rated component within the entire towing system, including the vehicle itself. The kit includes a 2-5/16 in. diameter ball designed to perfectly fit 2-5/16 in. gooseneck couplers. It is compatible with the truck bed puck system found on Chevy, Ford, GMC, Nissan, and Ram trucks equipped with the towing prep package, as well as CURT OEM-style gooseneck hitches (Chevrolet / GMC long-bed 2020-current only).

I bought this hitch because I wanted something stronger than what I was using. I have been hauling between 10,000 and 13,000 lbs everyday, multiple times a day in a dump trailer. I also wanted to be able to leave the receiver locked onto the truck, and be able to remove the ball. This did exactly what I wanted it to!

Keeps trailer hitch clean
So far, this cover has seen both a wet interstate and a very dirty/dusty off-road adventure and inside of my hitch has stated both dry and clean. I’ll update this review if I see rust forming over the next few months, especially during our wet winter. But it’s performing as advertised for now, seems to be well built and sturdy too.

Gets hung up on everything
Absolutely ruins your approach angle on the truck If you ever drive off road and you install this you will be very sorry. I pulled it off after 3 months.
