      Description

      Disable Your Silverado’s Active Fuel Management System. In 2005, General Motors began to roll out its Active Fuel Management system: a tuning protocol that shuts power to 4 of 8 cylinders during low-load driving scenarios, such as coasting on flat ground or downhill. This was done to reduce emissions and increase fuel efficiency, effectively converting 8-cylinder engines to 4-cylinder engines whenever convenient. While semi-effective in theory, the AFM system often results in a sensation of reduced power, throttle input lag, engine imbalance, and an unappealing tone from the exhaust. For this reason, Diablosport introduced its Sprint AFM Module with Auto Start/Stop Disable, entirely disabling the AFM system for full power all the time to power your Silverado 2500. 

      Improved Engine Performance. While potentially taking a slight fuel efficiency hit, any reduced MPGs are quickly overshadowed by the vastly improved performance. This module ensures that all 8-cylinders of your Silverado’s 6.0L V8 fire at all times, producing excellent throttle response and performance in all conditions.

      Disables Auto Start/Stop. In addition to Active Fuel Management, General Motors introduces the automatic start/stop system, automatically shutting down and restarting the engine. This is another unpopular feature, resulting in excess wear on the starter and throttle input lag. This Diablosport module also disables this feature for an improved driving experience. 

      Simple Installation. This product features a simple plug-and-play installation, plugging directly into your Silverado’s OBD II diagnostic port under the dash. Then, with no other setup, this device takes charge and commands all 8-cylinders to fire. 

      Warranty. A limited 1-year warranty covers this product against manufacturing defects. 

      Application. This Diablosport Sprint AFM Module with Auto Start/Stop Disable fits all 2007-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD models.
