Description
Effective Truck Bed Towing. Enable effective towing even if your RAM isn’t equipped with a hitch with the Over-Bed Folding Ball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch. This innovative gooseneck ball hitch is designed to modify your truck bed, allowing you to effectively tow any standard gooseneck trailer. This translates to added versatility to your truck.
Intelligent Design. At the core of this gooseneck trailer hitch is its intelligent fold-down design. This trailer hitch features a spring-loaded “trap door” and a recessed section into which the gooseneck ball hitch folds when not in use. This design allows you to maintain a relatively flat truck bed when hauling other items. What’s more, the gooseneck ball is permanently affixed onto the hitch assembly discouraging theft. Finally, this hitch comes with spring-loaded U-bolts that act as safety chain anchors for safe towing.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. This hitch assembly utilizes high-grade steel in its construction to ensure maximum strength, with the top plate measuring 0.375-inch thick. Likewise, the hard-chromed solid-steel ball hitch measures 2.312 inches in diameter and features a 30,000-pound towing weight and a 7,500-pound tongue weight capacity. Finally, the rest of the assembly is finished in a wear-resistant Carbide black powder coating also for exceptional rust protection.
Straightforward Install Procedure. Installing this gooseneck trailer hitch will require a section of your truck bed and the heat shield underneath your truck to be cut to allow proper fitment of this assembly. Drilling of mounting holes in various sections on your truck is also required to properly mount the necessary mounting brackets. Apart from these steps, installation is a relatively straightforward job with all the included mounting hardware.
Backed by a Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty. This Over-Bed Folding Ball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch is backed by a limited lifetime warranty covering any structural defects.
Application. The Over-Bed Folding Ball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch fits all 2002 to 2008 RAM 1500 models.
