Jake: Jake here for AmericanTrucks and today I'm taking a look at the C&L Throttle Controller fitting 2011 and newer F250 Super Duties. If you're tired of that annoying delay in your F250 between when you press the accelerator pedal and when the engine finally starts to respond, you need to get yourself a throttle controller. And this one from C&L offers you a discreet easy installation as well as multiple different modes and lots of further adjustments all at one of the lowest prices in the category. This is an easy plug-and-play modification that will make a noticeable improvement in the way your Super Duty drives and responds. When it comes to throttle controllers, I always like to start out with a disclaimer that this is not a tuning module, so this is not going to increase the power output of your engine. Rather, it only controls the responsiveness of the accelerator pedal itself. So, this is perfect if you wanna change up the driving experience of your F250 without going all the way to a tune. The goal here is to decrease or eliminate the lag you feel when pressing the accelerator. So, like anything with an electronic throttle, which is, well, pretty much every vehicle these days, there isn't quite that immediate response when you put your foot down like there is an old-school cable throttle. But the benefit to the electronic throttle is that you can tweak them to make them more or less responsive depending on the conditions and what you're looking to do.So, this particular unit comes with eight different presets that you can cycle through using these buttons right here. H1 is comfort mode, which is gonna give you a nice balance to improve responsiveness slightly while keeping the pedal easy to modulate so it's not to ruin your fuel economy. Pressing the mode button again takes you to H2 which is sport. That is going to improve the response time, making this a great setting for your daily commute or an nice trip down your favorite back road.Hitting it again takes you to H3, and that is race, which eliminates any delay in the pedal completely for the shortest response time and the most aggressive throttle response overall. EC is economy mode and that is going to decrease the sensitivity, give you a lot more additional control over the pedal so you can hyper mile with ease. NOR stands predictively for normal, which is gonna be your factory setting, no change from stock. SNO is anti-skid mode for adverse weather conditions. That's going to delay your response even more drastically to help decrease tire spin, let you be able to get outta some sticky situations. So, if you're in snow or you're off-roading or something like that, that's gonna be your mode. Then you have 000 which is intelligent. So, that is gonna match the setting automatically to your learned driving habits. So, you leave this plugged in and just drive like normal in that mode and the unit is going to learn your usual driving style and it will adjust accordingly. That's a pretty trick thing you don't see on all of these. Last mode we have is LOC or anti-theft and that is gonna lock out the throttle pedal completely. So, even if a thief manages to get your truck running, the pedal will be completely non-functional so they won't be able to drive away with your truck. And you can further refine all of those modes I just talked about with nine different levels of sensitivity by using the adjust button here on the other side. So, you get a ton of extra adjustment in addition to the presets that are already baked in here. Now, it's not quite infinite, doesn't have a dial or anything like that, but you'll still be able to make some really minute changes to how your F250 drives and responds, get into that Goldilocks just right setting. Now, as far as construction goes, we don't always have to talk about that when it comes to these smaller modules, but I think this thing is pretty neat. It's small, it's unintrusive and it really feels pretty darn good in your hand. It can also easily be mounted out of the way with, you got this double-sided tape right here on the back so you can put it in an inconspicuous location that you can access easily while driving. Now, having buttons on the front and a very simple screen makes it super easy to navigate through the different modes once you've figured it out. It's a really, really shallow learning curve. Doesn't take a whole lot to figure it out. And having the buttons right there, you can feel it if you wanna adjust it while you're driving, you can do that without really having to take your eyes off the road. When it comes to the price you're looking at right about $125, and that is one of the most affordable options out there for a throttle controller. Now, you don't get, again, the completely infinite adjustability or some of the other higher-end features, but the numerous modes and the adjustments that you do get plus that anti-theft feature and the overall differences can make in the drivability of your F250, I think it is more than worth the price. So, definitely worth the investment. Definitely worth checking outInstallation-wise, this really couldn't be any easier. It's gonna get a one out of three on our difficulty meter and should take you only about 20 minutes to get it in and working. You just gotta put these two plugs in down by your throttle pedal, plug this guy into the unit, and then you can mount this display wherever you want it. It really couldn't be much easier. And to show you just how to get it done, we're gonna throw it over to one of our AT customers now,Man: Install of the CL throttle control box. Everything comes with it, that's where it's at. Pull the clip up, push in, pops out just like so. Take the side with the red clip, plug it in, clip down, plug in the other side to here, put that clip down, secure it, make sure both are secure. And then you're plugged in, ready to go. It's just that easy. It should take about two minutes. And then you can just run your wire up there because I don't wanna... It has a sticker on the back that you can attach somewhere, but I'm gonna just running up there. It does come with three zip ties. I'd probably suggest a zip tie something up here. I don't know. There's probably a couple of spots up here you could find to zip tie to.Jake: That's gonna wrap it up here for our review and install of the C&L Throttle Controller fitting 2011 and newer F250 Super Duties. Thanks so much for watching, and remember for all things F250, be sure to stick with us right here at americantrucks.com.

Improve Throttle Response. Eliminate your F-250 Super Duty's sluggish throttle response with a C&L Throttle Controller. All modern vehicles use a drive-by-wire system that controls the throttle body electronically, similar to a dimmer switch. While innovative, this design causes an irritating delay that is most noticeable when trying to speed up to merge with fast moving traffic or when passing a slower moving car. The C&L Throttle Controller actually boost this signal to eliminate the delay for quicker, snappier throttle response, making it a must have for all drive-by-wire vehicles.
Eight Modes. The C&L Throttle Controller comes with (8) preset control modes for Comfort, Sport, Race, ECO, Normal, Anti-Skid, Intelligent, and Anti-Theft applications. Each mode can further be adjusted with nine levels of sensitivity. This allows you to select the mode that works the best for your own personal driving style and needs.
Easy Plug & Play Installation. The C&L Throttle Controller connects directly into the stock throttle position sensor found on the drive-by-wire gas pedal using an OEM style plug and play connector with no permanent modifications required. The Throttle Controller is 100% reversible and will not leave residual codes on the factory PCM making it warranty friendly.
Application. This C&L Throttle Controller is designed for use on 2011-2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty models.
