Performance. If you replace your transmission pan with the B&M Hi-TEK Deep Heavy Duty one, your transmission will work better. This means that having more fluid and better cooling in a transmission helps to prevent damage, improves the way the gears move, and keeps everything lubricated nicely. If you drive your RAM 1500 every day or take it off-road, the transmission pan can handle the way you drive.
Efficient. The B&M Hi-TEK Deep Heavy Duty Transmission Pan is bigger than the original one and can handle more fluid. This extra liquid helps remove heat better which cools the transmission more and makes it last longer. The pan has fins inside and outside to move heat around better and help it cool down faster.
Installation. Putting this B&M 845RE/850RE/8HP70/8HP75 Hi-TEK Deep Heavy Duty Transmission Pan on your RAM 1500 is easy and requires no drilling.
Application. The B&M 845RE/850RE/8HP70/8HP75 Hi-TEK Deep Heavy Duty Transmission Pan fits 2013-2025 RAM 1500 models.

Simple and cost effective
Good quality, seems to work well. Only difference this is a high capacity pan so it takes a bit more fluid than anticipated. After bleed procedure I ended up using a total 9.5 quarts.

It works - but might need some help to fit.
It was time for a transmission service and the shop I trust told me about the stupid OEM plastic pan. I asked about going aftermarket and he said it was a good idea. Comparing this pan against the PPE this one has greater fluid capacity. Theory says this means it can run cooler. Also at the time this store was out of stock of the PPE so that factored into my purchase decision. I didn't realize at the time PPE is local to Las Vegas or I might have gone to visit them directly. When I supplied the pan to my shop he was initially impressed - his prior experience was with the PPE. During the purchase on this site I had questioned the function and replaceability of the filter. I was told that due to the depth of the pan the filter didn't really do much and was covered by the lifetime warranty. I'm still not sure about that. However - my shop told me they recognized the filter as a standard Mercedes filter and that they stocked it for any future service. Good to know. Having entrusted my beloved truck to them I got on with my day - only to get a call a few hours later with some news. Apparently this model of truck has a (crossover?) exhaust pipe section that passes through where the increased pan is located. I'll point out that the PPE model would also have the same conflict. My transmission shop offered to take it to a nearby exhaust shop to make the necessary modifications - which were done and I got my truck back that afternoon. I some extended driving the next couple days. I don't typically tow anything. In Las Vegas heat, watching the built-in temp digital gauges, engine oil went to 220F while trans stayed at 180F. I never watched that gauge previously so I don't know if the deep pan is reducing temps during normal driving - but I'm sure it will contribute to the tranny lifetime. Overall - I would say I made a good purchase and would simply advise other buyers to be aware that while the pan will directly fit the transmission without modification - there may be exhaust obstacles requiring additional work.
