Description
Offers More Engine Power. Equipping your Chevy with these BBK 1-3/4-Inch Tuned Length Shorty Headers; Ceramic will let it gain more engine power. Featuring a 1-3/4-inch primary tube and 2.50-inch collector, these shorty headers ensure the smooth exit of your truck’s exhaust gases. With the uninterrupted exhaust flow, more air will become readily available for your engine’s combustion process. This then leads to the generation of more horsepower and torque for your vehicle.
Better Exhaust Sound. Restrictive stock systems often make the sound of your vehicle’s exhaust note meek. But by equipping it with these shorty headers, your truck will be able to deliver a better roar, thanks to their free-flowing tube construction.
Mild Steel Construction. These shorty headers are made of mild steel, a type of steel that has lower carbon content compared to other metals. This makes your new shorty headers more lightweight and less brittle. Even if these headers are exposed under pressure, they won’t easily crack or break. Furthermore, they’re applied with a silver ceramic coating to increase their defenses against corrosion and deterioration.
No Tuning Is Required. You can already drive your vehicle once these shorty headers are installed. Tuning is not required, but it is recommended to test drive your vehicle to check for any problems.
CARB-Certified. These shorty headers are CARB-certified, making them safe and legal for use in all states, including California. These headers have a CARB EO number of D-245-18.
Application. These BBK 1-3/4-Inch Tuned Length Shorty Headers in Ceramic are created to fit 2007-2009 6.0L Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD models.

Nice sound and more power
I have a 2017 Ram Rebel 1500 and I won’t lie, they were a tight squeeze to get in but nothing too bad. It’s been about a year since I’ve installed them and I’m glad I went with the short headers, plug and play, no cutting or welding.

Great choice for an upgrade.
I bought this kit because I had the notorious ram tick. One broken bolt on the driver side and I knew I had to replace those now warped manifolds. I think this is actually a cheaper way to go. Very happy with the ceramic coating. Doesn’t change your sound but does give a little more power. Only took me five hours, but I only had two broken bolts. Tool of choice is a flex head ratcheting 10mm wrench

20 hp Gain
I read a lot of criticism surrounding shorty headers, to not waste your time, that longtubes are better, that they're not worth it, and blah blah blah. Although I will acknowledge that longtubes do give you a little more hp, after a revised pcm tune and a dyno run, I yielded a 20hp gain with these headers vs the 30 I would've got with longtubes, for nearly a 3rd of the price... I am A-ok with that. Now I want to be as transparent as I can, these headers were installed on a heavily modified Ram 1500 with the complete intake system already upgraded, along with a stage 2 cam, and high flow cats (no resonators or mufflers).The more you let the engine breathe, the more hp you will get with these. Also bear in mind, you need to have your mods dialed in with a tune. Very satisfied customer here! Enjoy your build!

Great Headers Nice sound
I ordered these headers about 4-5 months ago and took most of the reviewers advice and changed the gasket they come with. I went with a fel-pro reusable set from summit. $40 More but haven’t had a single issue and they go on fairly easy. Used an offset wrench and crows foot where it’s tight and had very little trouble.

Not too impressed.
I bought these last year and my experience so far hasn’t been great. These arrived with little beads jammed all inside in the welds that were a pain to get out but the way these are made these would rattle if not removed. I have also had to remove them 4times since buying last year to replace the gasket due to leaking. Also as a side note the way the pipes are bent make a few of the bolts nearly impossible to get any wrench or sockets on to snug up. I’m a mechanic and have quite a bit of tools and experience and these just haven’t been great so far. I will say performance wise these are amazing though!

BBK 1-3/4inch Shorty Header (8 Months review)
I did a lot of research before I bought these headers. And I’m honestly disappointed in the long term results. Not even a year old and they’re leaking already. It as no broken bolts, I rechecked to make sure they’re all tight and the headers are still leaking. Is it common for these things to get warped overtime are sometimes?
