How to Install AFE Silver Bullet Throttle Body Spacer for aFe Cold Air Intakes (03-08 5.7L RAM 1500) on your Dodge RAM

1. Disconnect the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. Loosen and remove air inlet tube from the throttle body. Unplug the Throttle Air Control (TAC) harness plug from throttle body. Loosen and remove four throttle body bolts. Remove throttle body. Leave factory-sealing o-ring in place if applicable.  

2. For 5.7L HEMI installation: Install the aFe Silver Bullet throttle body spacer (AIR IN engraving side faces the throttle body), gasket and throttle body onto intake manifold. Using the washers and longer bolts (90mm bolts for RAM series Trucks, 80mm bolts for 5.7L HEMI cars) secure the throttle body to intake manifold. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb/in).  For 6.1L HEMI installation: Install a gasket, the aFe Silver Bullet throttle body spacer (AIR IN engraving side faces the throttle body), another gasket and throttle body onto intake manifold. Using the washers and 70mm long bolts secure the throttle body to intake manifold. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb/in).  

3. Reconnect TAC harness. Reinstall the air inlet tube to throttle body. Reconnect the IAT sensor harness.
