1. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. With the 8mm nut driver, loosen intake tube clamps and remove air intake tube from the throttle body. Remove engine cover. Disconnect the Throttle Air Control (TAC) harness plug from throttle body.
2. Using a 10mm nut driver, loosen and remove the (4) factory throttle body screws. Remove throttle body, but leave the factory-sealing O-ring in place. (Save the factory throttle body screws in case spacer is ever removed.)
3. Install the aFe Silver Bullet throttle body spacer, gasket, and throttle body onto the intake manifold. (The gasket will be placed between the throttle body and the spacer.) Using an 8 mm socket and ratchet, install the throttle body to the intake manifold using the supplied fasteners. (The flat washer will go against the throttle body, so that the lock washer will be between the flat washer and the underside of the head of the screw.)
4. Tighten the screws to 49 in/lb. Do not torque over 49 in/lb. Note that this is a plastic manifold and does not require extreme torque. Do not strip these. CAUTION: Over torque of the throttle body screws can result in intake manifold damage. Advanced FLOW engineering, Inc. will not be responsible for damage to the intake manifold due to over torque of the throttle body screws.
5. Reconnect TAC harness. Reinstall engine cover. (NOTE: On the RAM Trucks, you may prefer to trim the engine cover to accommodate for the raised throttle body.) Reinstall the air inlet tube to the throttle body. Reconnect the IAT sensor harness.
Your install is now complete! Make sure to ensure/retighten all bolts after 100 miles of driving.
