• Please read the entire instruction manual before proceeding.
• Ensure all components listed are present.
• If you are missing any of the components, call customer support at 951-493-7100.
• Ensure you have all necessary tools before proceeding.
• Do not attempt to work on your vehicle when the engine is hot.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal before proceeding.
• Retain factory parts for future use.



Refer to Figure A for step 1
Step 1. Disconnect the wiring harness from the temperature sensor. Disconnect the crankcase breather hose from the engine. Remove the mounting bolts from the air intake plenum. Release the airbox clips from the airbox lid.

Step 2. Remove the airbox lid and air intake tube from the vehicle. Remove the air filter from the airbox. Remove the temp sensor from the air intake tube.

Step 3. Attach the air filter adapter to the aFe air filter housing using the supplied fasteners. Install the aFe air filter on the air filter adapter and tighten the clamp. Install the elbow coupling on the air filter adapter and loosely install the clamps.

Step 4. Install the supplied grommet in the aFe air intake tube. Insert the temperature sensor in the grommet. Install the supplied crankcase breather hose on the aFe air intake tube.

Step 5. Install the straight coupling on the throttle body and loosely install the clamps. Install the aFe air filter housing on the airbox in the vehicle. Secure the air filter housing with the OE clips.


Refer to Figure F for step 6
Step 6. Install the aFe air intake tube first into the elbow coupling followed by the straight coupling. Align the air intake tube by rotating the elbow coupler prior to tightening the clamp. Tighten the remaining three clamps after the tube is proper aligned to the throttle body. Connect the crankcase breather hose to the engine.
