How to Install UnderCover Swing Case Storage System - Driver Side (07-18 Silverado 1500) on your Chevy Silverado

Installation Time

30 minutes

Tools Required
  • 7/16” Socket
  • Ratchet Wrench
  • Red Loctite
  • Knife/Sawzall/Body Saw (Something that will cut plastic bedliner)
  • Chalk
  • Drill/Impact with 7/16” Hex Bit
  • Masking tape
  • Pencil
  • Tape Measure

Since this truck has a plastic bedliner it will need to be cut in two areas to allow the bracket to bolt directly to the steel bed. All bedliners are different, this is factory GMC bedliner.

Installation Instructions:

1. Unbox items and assemble the mounting bracket. Two 7/16” nuts are provided and the bracket has two studs. Apply red loctite to the studs to ensure that the bracket doesn’t loosen.

2. Mark the plastic bedliner with chalk by placing the bracket against it. This will show where it needs to be cut to allow the bracket to bolt to the bed.

3. Cut the plastic with a knife/sawzall/body saw or by whatever other means.

4. Place masking tape on the bedside from 1”-3” above the bed floor. Make a mark 1.75” off of the bed floor. This will be the bottom of the bracket.

5. Using a drill with a 7/16” hex bit use one of the provided self tapping screws and attach the bracket to the bed side. Put the first screw in the bottom left side hole, this will allow the bracket to be rotated to make it level in the bed.

6. Measure down from the bedrail to the bracket at both the front and rear of the bracket. Rotate the bracket until the measurements are the same. Install the remaining bolts.

7. Slide the Swing Case over the bracket and ensure that everything works properly.
