Description
Security Meets Style. You may not give a lot of thought to locking up your possessions when you step out of your truck. However, it can never hurt to add another layer of protection to give you peace of mind when you lock and leave your Silverado. With Tuffy's Center Console Security Insert you won't have to worry about thieves grabbing your items when they are locked into the console.
Quality Construction. Made of 16-gauge steel, this console insert brings security to your truck without altering its appearance. The durable texture powder coat finish helps maintain the OEM's already style appearance. The Tuffy Center Console Security Insert secures your belongs with Tuffy's Pry-Guard locking system that has a 10 tumbler double bitted security key. Additionally, this console insert allows you access to the optional OEM USB and power outlets. It will not prohibit your truck from remaining functional.
Installation. Installation is a breeze. Easy for anyone, it will take no more than 5 minutes to install. Additionally, you won't need any drilling to fit this into your Silverado.
Warranty. Tuffy provides a lifetime limited warranty for their console insert. It covers manufacturer defects and workmanship issues.
Application. The Tuffy Center Console Security Insert fits all 2014 to 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500s that have the flow-through center consoles.

Easy Install
This was a very easy instal. Note you will lose the storage holder at the inside front of the console. Though the Tuffy does not fully take that space if you have small items fall down in that cavity they may be hard to recover. Also the rubber mat in the base of the console will nee do be cut down if you want to keep the mat in the bottom of the console.

Tuffy Box's are the Best!!
They're easy to install and give piece of mind knowing that your valuable items won't become prey to a dishonest valet or parking garage/lot attendant. Combine the Tuffy center console insert with the under rear seat secure storage box and you have a secure storage combo that can't be beat.

Puffy install
Great tight fit. Would recommend someone with good finger dexterity to help start some of the screws it's tight to move around but, got it done. I'm not huge or small. Plus do it somewhere with heat as you're doors will probably be open to move your body around to a more comfortable position. I ended up installing this during a snow storm. Would recommend that one. But great product so far

This "safe" fits perfect in my console and was fairly easy to install. The hardest part was getting it into the console & then unfolding the legs. Once this is done, easy install.
