Big personalities come in small packages, or so they say. Well, let us introduce you the Kamuk 48" rooftop tent, our newest and smallest model, but with one of the smartest designs.

Named after one of the tallest mountains in Costa Rica, the Kamuk was designed with the adventure seekers in mind. Kamuk is a mountain in the Costa Rican rainforest, that to reach the peak you need to hike for 6 days. A tough yet incredibly rewarding experience.

Well, we started thinking about surfers, kayakers, people riding bicycles and other overlanders that needed more space over their racks to carry more gear. And as such, the Kamuk 48" 2 person roof top tent was born.

A high quality, compact, 3-season RTT that only takes half of your rack, will still comfortably sleep 2 adults inside, and allow you to carry your surfboards, snowboards, paddle boards, bikes, kayaks, canoes, fishing gear, off-road gear and more next to it.

kamuk 48" roof top tent ideal to carry boards with itThis rooftop tent comes with a 2.5" thick hi-density foam mattress, allowing you to sleep very comfortably. The canvas is made of 420D polyester PU coated, UV resistant and waterproof, good for 3-seasons and maybe even 4 if you have good sleeping accessories. All the seams are taped, to prevent water from coming in.

The base is made of diamond plate aluminum, which comes in black to minimize scratches. It includes a 420D polyester UV resistant and waterproof rainfly, as well as a 1000D PVC travel cover with SBS Zippers.

We made sure the tent had 4 large windows to maximize air flow and ventilation. The RTT itself has 1 large skylight or window, perfect to see the sky at night.

The ladder can be stored on top of the tent or inside of it before you put the travel cover back on, alternatively, you can store it inside your car. Please keep in mind given the design of the tent, you will have to remove and install the ladder each time, but this is a very, very easy process which takes less than 1 minute.

When the tent is open, you will need to raise the three aluminum poles inside the tent, which have a simple locking mechanism, to fully raise the height inside the tent to let it reach 50" of height.
