      Description

      Driver's Side Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield. The exhaust system of your truck outputs incredibly hot gases that could actually do damage to some of the delicate components in the engine compartment. This is why it's important to have an effective heat shield installed when using an exhaust system. If the standard heat shield wears out or malfunctions, you can use this exhaust manifold heat shield as a replacement for your Chevy Silverado.

      Carbon Steel with a Silver Finish. This replacement heat shield is made from high-quality carbon steel that's effective at blocking heat transmission and helping to improve the safety of your vehicle.

      Simple Installation. It's easy to install this exhaust heat shield onto your vehicle in just a few minutes. Use the stock hardware on your exhaust manifold to hold the shield in position on your vehicle.

      Lightweight Design. The heat shield is made from a thin layer of steel that makes it lightweight and simple to work with. This bendable shield can be pressed into position and installed even if it doesn't match the shape of the exhaust manifold precisely.

      Application. This replacement heat shield is made to install on 2002-2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 trucks. It can be used on any of the trucks within that timeframe that are built with a V8 engine.

      Great product

      For the price the part was well worth it. Not to have to worry about the old exhaust being warped. Just be sure to buy the bolt kit with it, because both of my Rams broke the back two bolts.

      Drivers Side Manifold Kit Install

      Overall, the install was straightforward. It helped I already completed the passenger side, so I was familiar with the process. I used an OEM manifold on the passenger side, so I can safely compare this manifold with an OEM. First of all, the dorman product is a resurfaced, and refinished OEM product. However, 2 of the mounting holes were drilled too small, and required me to run a bit through them to allow a stud to pass through. Other than that small issue, it fit, and performed just like OEM. I would absolutely buy again.

      Exhaust manifold swap

      Tight area to work, but once I got it figured out how to install it went smooth and quickly. Recommend to make sure on passenger side don't install any studs till in motor compartment in correct location!

      Ceramic coated exhaust manifold

      This product does what it’s supposed to. It was shipped fast and for a great price. I had a mechanic install it and it took about 3 hours of labor with a lifted truck.
