Oxygen sensors, catalytic converters, throttle actuators, and other components collaborate to help manage engine performance and reliability while also limiting the amount of unburned or vaporized emissions in the atmosphere.

      Made to Last. Even if one of them fails or wears out, the unit as a whole will not be capable to provide a cleaner atmosphere or maximum vehicle performance. If you've observed a drop in fuel efficiency, less power, or an unstable idle, one of the emission control system components is probably broken and has to be replaced right away.
