Prior to the install, it’s suggested that you thoroughly clean and dry the mounting surfaces, before wiping down with a clean rag moistened with alcohol. This is to maximize the bonding of the adhesive to your sills. Additionally, the adhesive works best in temperatures of around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. What this means is, if you are installing these accents in cold weather, it’s best to warm-up the mounting surfaces. You could do this using a hairdryer or a heat gun.
